Jewelry Care Guide
Your Acid Queen pieces are built to be worn, not hidden away. These are talismans meant for daily life, ritual, and transformation. That said, a little intentional care keeps them looking powerful for years to come.
How to Keep Your Pieces Looking Their Best
Store with intention.
When you're not wearing your pieces, store them in the velvet pouch or box they arrived in, or in individual soft bags. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from humidity. This prevents scratching and slows tarnish.
Wear them often, but not everywhere.
Your jewelry is made for living, but remove it before swimming, showering, or working out. Chlorine, saltwater, and sweat can accelerate tarnish and weaken stones over time.
Let your jewelry be the last thing you put on.
Hairspray, perfume, lotions, and oils can dull the finish and affect the oxidized patina that gives each piece its depth. Put your jewelry on after you're dressed and ready.
Tarnish is natural. Embrace it or refresh it.
Sterling silver develops a patina over time. Some people love the darkened, lived-in look. Others prefer the high shine. If you want to brighten your pieces, use a polishing cloth and gently buff the raised surfaces. Avoid the recessed, oxidized areas unless you want to lighten them too.
For a deeper clean, use our Jewelry Revitalizing Kit.
This kit includes everything you need: cream and spray cleaner, a polishing cloth, and a soft toothbrush to get into detailed areas. It's the easiest way to restore your pieces when they need more than a quick polish.
