This is not a vacation. It is an immersive experience.

Luang Prabang is one of the most sacred and unhurried cities in the world. Nestled between the Mekong River and mist-covered mountains, it is a place where ancient traditions are still practiced daily, where monks walk at dawn and chant at sundown, and where artisans work with their hands, keeping their ancestors' traditions alive through craft passed down through the centuries.

For five days, you will step into that world.

You will create salt-water etched talismans adorned with your own symbols and art, and learn about traditional Lao silversmithing from master artisans. You will weave and hand dye your own scarf using centuries-old indigo techniques, make paper by hand, visit an organic farm, learn to prepare a traditional Lao meal, and blend your own tea. This is five days of slowing down, working with your hands, and reconnecting to the simple, profound act of making something beautiful.

This retreat is built around one belief:

That making things with your hands reconnects you to yourself. To other people. To what actually matters.

You will leave with pieces you created, memories you’ll never forget, and a quietness inside you that the modern world rarely offers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need any prior craft or art experience?

None at all. Every workshop is designed to welcome complete beginners and experienced makers equally. The artisans who we’ve partnered with for this retreat have spent their lives mastering these traditions. Your only job is to show up with open hands and a willingness to try.

What crafts and experiences are included?

The retreat includes a talisman workshop using salt-water etching and traditional metalsmithing techniques, Lao silversmithing seminar, traditional weaving and natural indigo dyeing, handmade paper making, a traditional Lao cooking class and tea making, guided cultural and temple walks, a welcome dinner, and a closing celebration. Morning yoga is available as an optional add-on for $99.

What do I take home?

You will leave with a handcrafted silver talisman you made yourself, a hand-dyed indigo scarf, handcrafted paper, personal tea blend and the opportunity to purchase local art directly from Lao artisans. More than anything, you take home the experience itself.

Is hotel accommodation included?

Yes. Four nights of hotel accommodations in Luang Prabang are included in your tuition for the duration of the retreat, February 15-19, 2027. Details on the property will be shared in your welcome packet.

What is not included in the tuition?

Airfare, personal meals outside of retreat programming, travel insurance, and personal spending. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before your trip. Details and recommendations will be provided in your welcome packet.

How many spots are available?

12 total. We are keeping this intentionally small so that every guest has a personal, meaningful experience. When the spots are gone, they are gone.

Is this only for jewelry designers or makers?

Not at all. This retreat is for anyone who is drawn to craft, culture, and intentional experience. You do not need a background in jewelry, art, or any specific skill. You need curiosity, openness, and a desire to connect.

Can I bring a guest who wants to attend but is not sure about the craft workshops?

Reach out to us directly before registering. Every workshop is designed to be accessible and joyful regardless of experience level, and we are happy to talk through what the experience would look like for you specifically.

What if I need to cancel?

12 Spots. One Moment in Time.

This gathering will not be repeated in the same form. The artisans, the city, the group, the season. It is a singular convergence of people who want to slow down, make something real, and remember what it feels like to be fully present. If something in you said yes when you read this, trust that.
