As we move into February (you know, the month that's typically drowning in pink hearts and cheesy rom-com vibes), i'm always moved to go in a different direction. Don't get me wrong - love in all its forms is beautiful, but here's a thought: what if the most magical love story starts with you?

One of my absolute favorite ways to practice self-love? Adornment, of course! And not just because I make jewelry (though I'll admit, I could be just a little biased 😉).

Here's the thing though - jewelry isn't just something pretty you throw on before heading out the door. It's an intention setter, a power piece, and honestly? A personal ritual of saying "hey, I'm worth celebrating today." In this blog, I want explore ways we can come back to ourselves, and step into our true power through compassion, awareness, trust, and yes, the magic of adorning yourself.

Plus, I've got a little surprise for you - a sneak peek at our upcoming 'Love Potion' Collection that I literally cannot wait to share!

Jewelry as a Ritual of Self-Love

You know what I love most about making jewelry? Watching how a piece transforms from metal and stone into something deeply personal for whoever wears it. Every piece you choose, every stone you're drawn to - it's like having a conversation with yourself about what you need right now.

And can we talk about this whole "waiting for someone else to gift you jewelry" trope? I love a good gift, but theres something deeply person in choosing that special piece for yourself. If you need to hear this..the occasion is now. That "special day" you've been saving things for? It's today.

This isn't about buying things just to buy them - it's about creating a relationship with pieces that reflect the love and care you show yourself. Think about it: every time you put on a piece of jewelry you chose for yourself, you're basically having a mini celebration of you, and the best part is that its a short yet power ritual you can do daily.

As we cruise through Aquarius season (hello, freedom and rebellion!), it feels like the perfect time to challenge those old ideas about when and why we adorn ourselves. Because honestly? You don't need a reason beyond "this makes me feel magical."

Different Flavors of Self-Love (Plus Some Stone Magic to Amplify It!)

You know how romantic love gets all the attention with grand gestures and big moments? Well, self-love can be just as fun and way more consistent. Let's break it down, and I'll share some of my favorite stones to amp up each vibe:

Self-Compassion Remember how understanding you are when your best friend messes up? Try giving yourself that same grace. Pair it with Rose Quartz - it's like a warm hug in crystal form.

Self-Awareness Getting real with yourself isn't always Instagram-perfect, and that's okay! Think of it as having those honest chats with yourself (you know, the ones you usually save for late-night phone calls with your bestie). Want some backup? Grab some Emerald - it's like having a wise friend in your corner.

Self-Trust This one's my favorite - it's about tuning into your gut feelings and actually listening to them. Rainbow Moonstone is perfect for this - it's like having a built-in clarity boost.

Introducing the Love Potion Collection

We’re thrilled to give you a sneak peek and behind the scenes look at the creation of our upcoming Love Potion Collection, launching Sunday, February 9th. And if you guessed it, all the stones we’ve mentioned are part of this collection…designed to support you in embracing the energy of self-love!

This collection was birthed by tapping into the energy of self-love, empowerment, and the iconic film The Love Witch.

This movie isn’t just visually stunning; it’s to me, one of the most inspiring pieces of filmed art. The striking cinematography suspends you in a dreamlike fantasy - 60's glamour aesthetic, drenched in vivid, deeply saturated hues meets modern ideas in a time you can't put your finger on.

But the inspiration for this collection runs deeper than just aesthetics. The rich storytelling and lessons explored in the film became a foundation for these pieces. It challenges the societal expectations placed on women…the pressure to conform, to feel a certain way, and to show up in love according to someone else’s rules. At the same time, it highlights the desperate need to lean into self-love. The film reminds us that the obsession with outside, external romantic love is not the way we find it, but instead, it’s through the act of self-love.

An Invitation to Love Yourself

Here's my challenge to you this month: don't wait. If you've been eyeing a piece that makes your heart skip a beat, if you've been saving something "for the right time" - the time is now.

Buy yourself those flowers.

Pick up that piece of jewelry that's been calling your name.

Do that thing that makes your soul feel sparkly.

Because here's what I know for sure: self-love isn't selfish - it's straight-up magic. And you deserve all the magic in the world.

Until next time, keep living in your magic my loves! ✨

Love, Alex
