The Oracle is a one-of-a-kind chainmaille coif for the woman who carries ancient sight in a modern body.
Handwoven in New York City by It Is Known in classic European 4-in-1 weave, this headpiece is constructed in the round, the same technique used by medieval armorers for centuries, updated here into something that belongs equally on a stage, an altar, or a runway. The steel drapes with the weight of intention. The fit is architectural. The presence is undeniable.
At the hemline, a gently sloped border of 4mm cream glass pearls traces the edge of the coif like a crown that earned itself. Soft against steel. Ancient against modern. The contrast is the point.
This is not a costume. This is a relic. A piece that carries the energy of every woman who ever had to be twice as certain to be half as heard, and chose to show up anyway.

Armored Ascension is a limited edition pre-sale collection created in collaboration between Acid Queen Jewelry and It Is Known. The Oracle represents the purest expression of that partnership: a co-designed vision brought to life entirely through the hands of It Is Known's master chainmaille craft.

The Oracle is offered as a one-of-a-kind collaborative design. While each coif is made to order within the pre-sale window, the design itself is exclusive to this collection and will not be reproduced beyond the Armored Ascension pre-sale run.
CHAINMAILLE CRAFT
Handwoven in New York City from 100% stainless steel rings in classic European 4-in-1 weave. Woven in the round to ensure even weight distribution and a comfortable wearing experience. Finished chainmaille is tumbled and polished to a silky-smooth finish.
Stainless steel will not rust, break, or discolor. Over time, the steel develops a beautiful antique patina. To restore a bright shine, hand-wash periodically with dish detergent.
A NOTE ON WEIGHT
At approximately 3 lbs, The Oracle is a substantial piece. It is constructed in the round specifically to distribute that weight evenly across the head and shoulders for a balanced, wearable experience. This is armor. You will feel it. That is part of the intention.
